The English Australia Action Research in ELICOS* Program is a national initiative run annually by ELICOS sector peak body English Australia, in partnership with Cambridge Assessment English, and with Professor Anne Burns as the key reference person. Since 2010, a group of ELICOS teachers have participated in the program each year. The program is structured around a series of face-to-face workshops held in Sydney over a period of six months, which guide the teachers in setting up and implementing action research projects in their classrooms. The teachers then present their projects at the annual English Australia conference, and publish reports of their action research in the Cambridge Research Notes publication.
